GEA’s greenhouses and areas under cultivation are places where technological innovation and the passion for preserving the environment come together to promote high-quality sustainable agriculture. Discover how our advanced structures and practices contribute to the growth and protection of our crops.
Iron and Glass Greenhouses
The two greenhouses, which cover an area of 1000 square meters, are the beating heart of our activities of propagation and of providing shelter for the plants during the winter. Equipped with the cutting-edge technology, such as heating, automatic irrigation, and controlled ventilation, these greenhouses provide the optimal environment for the growth and development of the plants in every season.
Cultivation in Equipped Areas
Throughout the year, the cultivated plants are housed in specifically equipped areas provided with devices for irrigation both pinpointed and sprayed over a broad area. These areas are protected by an enclosure that prevents damage by the wild animals that live in the park. In addition, there is a shady area with wooden benches to house more delicate plants, ensuring optimal conditions for them to grow and prosper.
Development and Tests of New Products
GEA’s cultivated areas are not only places of production but also centres for research and development. We collaborate with the most important businesses in the sector to develop trials and tests of new products and advanced technologies at the service of sustainable agriculture. Our crops serve as a proving ground for assessing the efficacy and efficiency of new solutions for plant growth and agricultural management.
